Salon De Ning - Broad Channel

Chalet de Ning brings a warm, seasonal and festive vibe to the west wing of Salon de Ning rooftop bar at The Peninsula NY. They even offer semi-private seating with bottle service!

Overpriced, not a great view and a quite an old bar. Went to meet some friends and was told I could get one of the best views of the city. Hmmmm? Not sure what they were referring to. Cocktails were strong, at least the old fashion, given the cost is the least to expect. There are better rooftops in NYC!

Drinks were just okay, nothing memorable. My wife had the Ning Sling which was creative and pretty good. I ordered an Old Fashioned off menu which was a mistake. It was just a bunch of bourbon and ice, very little flavor. Our biggest issue was the smoke! Even sitting outside the smell of cigarettes and cigars was too much for us. We’re used to Cincinnati that doesn’t allow any smoking so this place just didn’t work for us.

Spectacular view and great drinks combined for this unique rooftop experience. Suggest a reservation should you want to dine/drink on their larger patio and yes they do bottle service should you be looking for that. The bartenders certainly know their craft and it shows as the easily navigate the crowd attempting to belly up in the small space by the bar. Definitely recommend if your doing the tour of rooftops NYC.

Best views along fifth Avenue from their rooftop bar. A must see.
