This restaurant is a true joy of find. I grew up in Houston, TX, and this is just the kind of Mexican food I have been searching for in this city. The prices are reasonable, the restaurant is cute, the cocktails are good, and the food is great! View all feedback.
What Tom Oliver doesn't like about Ojalá -authentic Mexican:
Came here because of the glowing reviews. Wish I had not. The guacamole is clearly whipped. Resulting in a strange blended creamy texture that does not taste fresh. The mole tamale was fine/bland. The chorizo taco was so heavy and oily that I was unable to eat it. Taco Al Pastor was OK. View all feedback.
Oh my goodness this place has good food! Very authentic and fresh. The seating area out back is very cozy. The margaritas are awesome. The service was really nice and explained dishes to us without making us feel dumb for being unfamiliar with Mexican dishes. Would come here often if we lived in NY.

Everything is so fresh and a very clean establishment. Serving portions are great, you will not be disappointed!
