The food was really good. I got the seat urchin dish and it was delicious. The cocktails were also great. Definitely recommend the Mexican firing squad. The service was so-so. We had to ask for some drinks multiple times, and they kept forgetting what we ordered for cocktails, and when we got a dozen oysters we only received 11. But overall would come again

I had the Pineapple and Passion Fruit cocktail which was incredible and presented so nicely. Then my boyfriend and I had the Kyoto ramen, one switched with chicken instead of pork. Overall, the vibe and food were totally worth it, and the price was very reasonable

The bar is... read more Finally made it to NR on the UES and I’m so glad I did it. This spot has been on my list since a year, and it completely lived up to my expectations. The bar is stunning, the vibe is great, and the energy of the place just feels right classy enough but not pretentious. We walked in without a reservation and could only get a table for 60 mins so it was a quick affair. Every dish we tried was a hit – seriously, not a single miss. Here’s what we had (and loved): • Spicy tuna bites – melt in the mouth and flavorful • Karaage chicken – perfectly crispy • Miso glazed eggplant – rich, tender, so satisfying. Was almost tempted to order a repeat • Salmon bao – soft and buttery • Spicy fried chicken bun – bold and delicious The flavors were bold but balanced, and everything came out beautifully plated and hot. I’m already planning a return visit – this time with a reservation so we can linger a little longer. Highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood. Actually I would say it’s even worth a trek to uptown.
