Super nice staff! Smallest location among the shops in NYC. Only seats like 8ish people. Quality of the food was great though. Exactly what I was craving. Besides the Katsu being waver-thin! (I know, everything becomes more expensive but I paid 22$ incl. A drink, so I expected to be able to taste the meat) View all feedback.
What Bill C doesn't like about Go Go Curry Chelsea:
This has always been one of my favorite places to eat in NYC but my last visit was disappointing. I had the “Home Run” and dined in. While the meal was delicious the portion was so small that I was still hungry afterwards and I don’t even eat a lot. Service was awful. The guy working behind the counter barely muttered more than a couple of words and was incoherent. It’s clear that he doesn’t like speaking to people w... View all feedback.
I can’t say foods was good. And Price also not cheap as I expect. Pre-cooked tonkatchu was sauggy.
Very filling and perfect comfort food; hits the spot!
Nestled in Chelsea is Go Go Curry. If you love Japanese curry, this is a must go to. when I had my office in Chelsea, I'd often order from here. I'd always get the Home Run rice, curry, chicken cutlet, sausage, shrimp, egg, and cabbage. the curry, If you check their website, it has its own story and flavor to back it up. honestly, I haven't ordered much other than the Home Run but based on that, everything else should be just as delicious. they used to have a reward system for frequent customers not sure if that's still happening. if you're in Chelsea, stop in!
Hey! Have you ever had Japanese curry? If you answered no, then allow me to introduce you to Go Go Curry. Go Go Curry comes with a protein, a bed of rice covered in curry sauce, and last but not least shredded cabbage. Now you can always buy a combo my personal favorite is the Homerun with chicken katsu. Japanese curry is distinctly different than Chinese, Indian and Jamaican curries. With a darker hue and thicker texture but oh so flavorful. I do recommend giving Go Go Curry a chance. Pros 1)Options of chicken, pork, fish, tofu, shrimp tempura and sausage as a protein 2)vegetarian based curry is an option 3)If hungry the Homerun combo will fill you up Cons 1)Price. If your like me and want some add on’s it can get a tad pricey like couldn’t extra curry sauce be incremental in price instead of the almost $4 base. Like $1.50 for an extra spoonful. To top it off. Great tasty filling food for an almost premium price. Price aside you do get a lot for your dollar, you might not eat there often but it’s a nice alternative to try
Literally the worst chicken cutlet i’ve ever eaten, it tasted like a deep fried napkin
