Stayed in the Ibis Budget hotel on a wet night and didn't want to get in the car again after a long drive, while other options involved taking your chance on crossing busy roads in the dark. Good value menus with an extensive hors d'oeuvres buffer and a freshly cooked main course, served with chips at our request. Rapid, friendly service but you weren't hurried out when you'd finished. Pretty basic ambience but overa... View all feedback.
What Christophe Delahaye doesn't like about Ibis styles:
View all feedback.
The Atelier restaurant attached to the Hotel is where dinner and breakfast is served. After a long day on the road, we decided to eat here instead of searching for somewhere else. The buffet looked a little tired so we both decided to have the plat plus dessert combo. I had the satay chicken skewer with basmati rice while my husband had the plat du jour pork with vegetables. Both dishes were deemed acceptable and for dessert, I had a delicious creme brulee and the other pudding was apple tart with cream. We are staying for three nights so we might return on another evening. Our last evening and again we are in the Atelier restaurant at the Hotel it is very busy. My husband I both had the play fu hour sautéed porc au curry and it was tasty but could have done with more curry seasoning. Dessert for me was the Rene brûlée again while my husband had the peach tart with cream. We did not dawdle over our meal as the lady at the next table was wearing a perfume so strong that it was making me feel sick. The waitress apologised when we left and sniffed the air in agreement with me!
Not bad for a basic buffet breakfast Included in room rate so not sure how much would have been if not but not worth more than 7 10£ Lots of pastries and yogurts and fruit. Not much hot.
A limited menu, slightly expensive but well cooked and presented. Staff spoke limited English and were a little short on numbers. Steak/beef meals were nice.
