Cafe Solo - Brive-la-Gaillarde

Maybe a good bar but not a restaurant. Service not at the level, industrial fries, no restaurant ticket. We went there in connection with the 4.2 stars, so I noticed the restaurant.

Nice place where it is nice to drink a drink. A welcoming waitress and waitress, the kitchen has disappointed us despite a small map and simple dishes. In short, it is recommended for an aperitif in a good atmosphere, good service and a nice setting.

Salad « niçoise » insipid and uninterested at an excessive price (ration of huge rice with half hard egg, two cherry tomatoes cut in two and a few tasteless brews), bavette and fries frozen with a doubtful taste that one could not even finish, at an excessive price also given the quality. Very disappointing...

A frozen grocer served in 45 minutes chrono! Fortunately the waitress was nice but very annoyed by the incompetence of the cook who is no other than the boss. By leaving he told us “the next time it will be better” then for us sorry but there will not be next time.

Perso, I'm not a fan of the brivist bars (too prout prout and I'm eating it), at the solo café, I found this simple atmosphere that I love so much. The planchas are gargantuesque, the boss and his team are always very nice, and you enjoy a terrace without a car (or almost). And you can go without problems with your children.
