Is This Annoying Yet - Bristol township

I had a great experience at High Tides. The place itself is very nice and looks like a cool place to hang out in the summer, especially on the deck overlooking the Neshaminy Creek. It's very open and bright inside with plenty of tables and booths. I was here for lunch and was happy to see they have several lunch specials. I had the sweet potato/black bean burger on a roll with fries and a cup of tomato bisque. The sandwich and fries were awesome. The burger was large and very tasty with great seasoning. It was piled high with lettuce, tomato and onion and topped with their special sauce. The soup was meh. A little thin and I didn't care for the flavor. My friend had the Captain's Burger. That sucker was huge! She could not finish it. If I wasn't so full I would have finished it for her. She had a cup of New England clam chowder which she also said was meh. The service was outstanding. The food came out quickly and our server was on top of everything. No sooner did we finish our diet cokes, there she was with a refill. She also made us a terrific pot of coffee to complete our meal. I cannot wait to go for dinner and sit on the deck, IF the weather ever warms up.

Went here on a Thursday evening and sat outside on the beautiful patio overlooking the water. Gorgeous!! Ordered drinks, oysters and clams and all were delicious! Our waitress Allison was a super waitress! She made our night even more enjoyable with her lovely personality!

Two stars only because the bartender saved them from one. The bartender was great and attentive. My fiancé and I arrived at 7pm and were told 20-25 minutes to be seated outside. We went to the bar to wait. At around 7:40, I checked in with the hostess who said they couldn 't seat anyone for another 20 minutes because of the kitchen... ok we had just ordered another drink. At around 8, I got a missed call from an unknown number. No voicemail or second attempt. At 8:20 my fiancé checked and their response was oh we called and no one answered. Then they sat us. After 15 more minutes of waiting, we never saw a server and decided to leave. So long story short. Bar service was great, everything else was not. Waiting 1.5 hours to never get food is not worth it. Someone else at the bar said it took them over 30 minutes just to get a pretzel.

We spend alot of time driving through Bensalem PA, we have passed this joint a hundred times or more and have said we gotta try this place and then some good friends, that frequent the place, invited us to dinner there. They have a nice drink menu and the apps were tastey too. My wife and I decided to try a couple of things, THE GODFATHER, very good sandwich and the pizza, loaded with LOBSTER, SHRIMP a few other goodies, I recommend the pizza that comes on the flatbread (you get two) not the large regular size pizza, yes the pizza is really really good and the beer was cold and the cocktails, yummie! Our sever Shannon, was on top of things. We will visit again.

Just left High Tides after stopping to enjoy lunch on the water with my fiancé, but I can 't say I did enjoy it. We started with buffalo bites, which were mediocre; clearly just frozen breaded chicken bites tossed with sauce didn 't expect much more than that. It did come with celery, carrots, and both ranch and blue cheese dressings. Fiancé got a chicken Caesar salad and added bacon. He said it was fine, but the chicken clearly wasn 't fresh grilled. I ordered the half portion Cobb salad. The waitress commented that this was a great choice, as their Cobb is really good. Photo of their salad description attached. I highly disagree. My salad came out and was literally just a pile of iceberg, shredded carrot, shredded cheese, tomatoes, and some cold shrimp, served with a side of balsamic ?? . I sent it back because... that 's not a Cobb salad. Waitress said there is a new cook, she would have it fixed but really, what kind of restaurant cook doesn 't know what 's in a Cobb salad?! . It came back out with some cold bacon pieces and re warmed chicken that was very rubbery. Looking at it further, I noticed gray spots on some of the shrimp and I just couldn 't force myself to eat it. We sent it back and got it removed from the check, but no one was really that concerned. What a shame.
