What higvin doesn't like about The Queen's Head:
The restaurant may have seen better days and has no pretensions of being trendy or hip. The Easton Road side of the pub is unattractive, with a bland sign, but the Bannerman Road side reveals remnants of an old building with character, including what appears to be the original pub sign featuring Queen Victoria. There are currently two rooms, one of which has a pool table. The small bar area is basic and lacks charm,... View all feedback.

The selection of spirits and wines at this restaurant was very limited. The bartender was friendly, but the service was not up to par. There were no straws or stirrers for the mixers, and no fruit was offered, not even with a gin and tonic. The lack of music created a less inviting atmosphere. Overall, the experience was not enjoyable. We would have preferred to pay more and go somewhere nicer, which we ended up doing after just one drink.
We used to frequent this restaurant often when we lived in Bristol, but we have since moved. The Sunday dinners were among the best I've had in Bristol.

The friendly bartender made us decent coffee as we caught up on the tabloid news lying around.
Exceptional food at a good pub price . A wide choice of home cooked meals from burgers to bolognaise. Also great Sunday lunches.
