We were on the fence about going out on a Monday night, but we are so glad we did. The bar staff was very friendly and recommended a delicious wine. The food was absolutely amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to returning and will be bringing my sister along in a few weeks for another great meal. View all feedback.

A regular and a fan but my roast today was disappointing, although tasty. The meat portion was tiny, 1 small slice of beef as was my partner’s lamb, more like a tasty plate of veg rather than the Sunday roast I was anticipating. Had a pint of Cornish Best Ale which was on form. View all feedback.
Lovely pub with really good beer, and a nice vegetarian menu. The huge Mezcal menu was also a nice surprise! The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is that the punk music soundtrack can get a bit relentless after an hour or so, it would be nice if the owners mixed up the music a bit more. Have visited 5 or so times and the music is always the same, and sadly not my kind of thing.
My first visit here on the evening of Sat Sep 03, and what a pleasure it was. Trying to find fault, but really can't great decor and background music, a really friendly and relaxed vibe with a great mix of people. Unbelievable selection of drinks , and the food was delicious, and extremely reasonably priced. Also thanks to the young lady who served me really friendly and helpful (sorry don't know your name). Wish this was my local already looking forward to my next visit. Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved here I wish you all the best during these trying times for the pub industry. PS hello to Will and Kate who kept me company.
I have upgraded my original 4* review to 5*. The Bookshop was always a good pub, but since it has changed ownership it has gone from strength to strength. The drink selection is crazily good, with lots of craft beers and ciders that you wouldn't normally find elsewhere. It's dog friendly and the staff are lovely. For such a small pub they've done really well to make it more spacious inside. Love the atmosphere of this place, good decor, music and vibe.
Nice place to unwind and chill after a long day! Great beers and even better range of food! Highly recommend
Great food, the waitress (maybe cook? serving the food was so friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves I can confirm the smoked lager with the poppadoms and spicy mango chutney, is a match made in heaven!!
