We went for the atmosphere of the historic building, which didn’t disappoint, but the staff weren’t super friendly or welcoming. Pint of chips was still good though View all feedback.
What Badpacker doesn't like about The Hatchet Inn:
Sunday carvery. Had low expectations as carvery’s are generally not great but the food we had was inedible. £9.99 the meat was dry and tasteless the roast potatoes were not real spuds. Veggies were ok. Plenty of people did seem to finish their plates so I may be in the minority but for a few extra quid there is so many more decent roasts in Bristol View all feedback.
Good selection of beer. The staff was also friendly in a lively pub
So much history. Actual old history, as in a pub for over 400 years. More important, however, is that it is legendary reputation than a really adult rock pub. The music is great. The drinkers here are friendly and clear. Come a night when there is a gig in O2 for guaranteed quality Vibes.
Great little historical pub found tucked away down a side street. Great selection of beers. Managed to get Blue Moon on draught....Winner! Would return.
Gorgeous Sunday carvery! Very impressed with the wide selection of veg, all cooked perfectly to compliment the pork belly/roast beef perfectly. My partner was also most pleased! Pnly visiting Bristol, but will def recommend as its handy for O2 as well for drinks.
Lovely pub. Great staff, board games and okay vegan food.
