My mrs and... read more Came in to eat this evening (monday night), had a lovely time. The food was humble and delicious. Amazing portion of great quality sausage and mash. My mrs and I both had the sausage taster/selection. 4 different bangers with loads of spring onion mash (or champ), parsnip crisps and a boat of gravy. All the sausages were unique and delicious. The mash smooth and buttery. We also ordered a braised red cabbage on the side. Sticky, sweet and sour, just as it should be. Just when i thought i was beat, i was sweet talked into a sticky toffee pudding. The sponge was light and open textured, and saturated with toffee sauce. The whole meal was a demonstration of stunning comfort food, which hits the spot like nothing else. We were served by Sabina, who was lovely and extremely tentative from start to finish. All in all, a spontaneous dinner plan, turned into finding this gem. We will be back. The sunday roast is calling... Thanks everyone
