Visited with my partner we loved the okra beans and jerk tofu, and had a side of fried plantains and rice and peas, all great. The service was a bit random though, slow, and it felt a bit like the FOH didn't really care. Probably just a bad day! View all feedback.
It's refreshing to find a fully vegan twist on Caribbean food. Spice levels are decent. Wholesome and filling.
The food here is absolutely amazing and the menu is great. Only thing I'd say is that the service was rather slow (took over 30 mins to get a glass of water) and I'd say borderline unfriendly (although it was very busy at the time). I would definitely reccomend as the food is sooooo good but perhaps for takeaway.
We had the jerk tofu and spicy kale, the peppered strips in a stew, rice peas, dumplings, plantain and drinks (Ting a sorrel and ginger drink which is delicious). The food was so rich and flavoursome. The service was quick and friendly. I liked the decor and atmosphere (soul music, candles). Would definitely recommend! #Veganuary
I also loved eating, although I can not treat too much seasoned, I ate it all because it is too good.
I had the okra and butterbeans as my main. The coconut and spice sauce was delicious. It was a good sized serve and had a nice flavour. We had the fried plantains for an entree. They were nice too. Plenty of seating inside.
