I've been going to bocabar since I was a kid and still say it's my favorite restaurant. the pizza is the best they have made in bristol, with local ingredients. the staff are always friendly and they can see that they enjoy themselves in the kitchen and behind the bar. always a great atmosphere! What Gary Mashigo doesn't like about Bocabar:
positive points here: very friendly staff. great beers,l. spacious restaurant. relaxed mood. good choice of pizzas. great location. generally clean. not so good: my pizzas were masked by the (very) spicy sauce. I could have tasted them all. the waitress missed as our meal was. the chef of cuisine was overly familiar with other diners (clear matte) and jumped on the sofa (unhygienic.) we were not allowed to sit on a t... We were looking for a good, reliable place for a ride in bristol. we pass bocabar finzels reach quite regularly on walks and saw that they had a weekend brunch so for our weekly trip, we stopped by. bocabar make two versions of a...fry up, the very english and the boca full. the big difference is dinge as a hit and is doubled and the addition of black pudding for the boca full. we both ordered the boca full. we also have a 2-4-1 beverage menu. the good. portioning on the boca full were considerable, the mushrooms were well boiled, the beaters were delicious, and the broth was well roasted. the kartoffel rose was beautiful and crispy on the outside. the drinks were quite strong. That's not so good. the potato-roost was crispy, but he had an almost peasant texture in the inner that was strange. the boca full should contain a black pudding, but we had to ask for the serving, and what came out was not hot, nor was it very delicious, and tastefully processed. the sausages were average and cooked more. Apart from some cuts, there was no season before they came out. we didn't get any butter with our toast. that really wasn't so good. Despite the clean space was the table sticky, so much that the salt and pepper shakers were practically glued to the table and the woman had to take off her dish from the table after we had our elbows during the waiting. the chairs in the dining area are small as the primary school small. While we wanted to like a place that was so close to home, we can not recommend going back based on our experience.

This place really made a jump. in the room of two years the customer service has deteriorated significantly and the pizza went soggier as a pear pig. we were suddenly invaded from the restaurant area into the sofa, which was not appropriate. why. not relax? the pizza, as I said, was also very healthy and watery, with a distinct lack of cheese too. many puzzling laughter and roughness in general, which made me a bit at it. may not be able to go back so many problems.

I could have tasted them all. the waitress missed as our meal was. the chef of cuisine was overly familiar with other diners (clear matte) and jumped on the sofa (unhygienic.) we were not allowed to sit on a table (and we said that abruptly) that supports digestion very much. I could be back if they could work on the above points.
We had a very unpleasant experience today. We were a party of four, came into an almost empty place, asked where we could sit (we specified we didn't have a reservation) and were told by staff to just pick a table wherever. We had lunch,...and towards the end a member of staff rushed to our table and rudely asked why we were sitting there, to which we explained we weren't informed the table we were at was reserved (in fact, since we had time to had lunch, we were visited often by member of staff, none of which ever raised the issue). She effectively pressured us to leave and made us feel like we did something wrong, while we were just given freedom of choice by other members of staff. We want to like you guys, but this is not the way you do it if you have communication issues internally, solve those first instead of having a go and customers, and basically kicking them out. We didn't argue and left (after rushing our half unfinished drinks), but this episode will definitely inform our decision of ever coming to the restaurant again.
