The experience in trying something new was amazing! The good was to notch!! It was off we were at a chops show, trying many dishes and all were winners!! The popovers were Amazing!! The waiter wasn't very friendly or conversational, it was as if he really didn't want to be there or wait on us!! We will friendly be back for dinner, even though the service wasn't all that!! What kerry ferris doesn't like about Le Central:
Was looking forward to this based on reviews but we were not impressed. Oysters were fishy and mignonette was pure vinegar. Food was bland all around would not go back. Wine list was good though View all feedback.
As a French guy, I honestly think it is really mid. The service was perfect, and fast but the food was not really as good as I expected but again I'm French so I guess I was expecting too much. Still, it's a nice restaurant to go to if you want to give a shot to French Cuisine. Still a good experience.
Had a very nice time at Le Central. The Duck Confit was the standout dish of the evening and the service overall was very nice.
My husband and I were so excited to try Le Central as we love French food and have been to many French bistros, both in the US and France. The food was just ok, nothing special. The decor is not cozy or charming in the way of most French restaurants. We were there on a Saturday night and it was virtually empty. I sincerely hope the owners can turn this place around because it's in a great location and we would love to have a neighborhood bistro to pop into.
It is our ‘go to' restaurant. It is always exceptional from the oysters to the entrees. This time we enjoyed the grilled lobster and the cod chowder. Of course we always have the cauliflower soup. The soups are outstanding along with the entrées. All desserts are house made. One of the most exciting things happening are the exquisite cocktails. Sam is a genius! Best kept secret and Bristol!
After reading the outstanding reviews I went to brunch yesterday. We ordered the bread and olives to start. The bread was very stale and was burned it seemed like it was reheated. The the Dutch boy was good but a small portion. Would expected perhaps fruit on the side. The batter was also a bit over cooked as well. My friend ordered the lemon crapes also came out a bit overcooked. I would be happy to pay more if the sizes were slightly larger. Since all the reviews have been great we will definitely try lunch or dinner. Our sever and bus girl were excellent they did not skip a beat. Came to the table to check twice promptly refilled water. Also prompt getting the check. Nice atmosphere as well! Certainly give it another chance!
