We visited here for Sunday lunch on a recommendation. The menu had the usual options on it so we made our choices. Prices seemed a little high but not excessive. We were asked to open a tab which seemed to involve keeping our debit card behind the bar to ensure we paid when we left which seemed a bit weird to say the least! A fantastic pub for all occasions! whether it is a drink after work, somewhere to lunch, a Sunday roast or a event, the cross Hands’ they have covered. considering how big and busy it is, eating was great. many rooms in the open, in the inside and in the upper floor (private functional space). toilets were clean and the whole place is well furnished and cleaned. many street parking around the pub. and there is something for everyone, dogs, children and adults. highly recommended!
Had a Sunday lunch here and the food was so good and the staff are so friendly : would definitely recommend, just look at it
Great selection of rums and gins. Classy decor, just a bit lacking in atmosphere.
The food was decent enough although all of the meals were swimming in gravy. Portion sizes were good although we could have all done with more veg. Service was excellent, chatty and engaging. The noise was the worst aspect the tables are close together and it was so noisy that we actually left without coffee or the usual post lunch chat!
The food was good but we were with a 3 years old who was happily running around in their garden pretending to be a dinosaur. We were asked by personnel to keep the noise down as “other people were eating there”. Interesting that the noise a company sitting near to us was making didn’t bother the personnel and they were much louder than our son. And come on people, it is a pub garden, seriously? Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with kids and would definitely avoid this place myself.
