Excellent service from friendly staff who just knew how to serve customers without being ‘in your face’. The decor is superb as is the food. The only downside is the trek to the toilets. However, this is an experience to be repeated. View all feedback.
What GREGORY doesn't like about Ivy Clifton Brasserie:
A lovely location and lively atmosphere , however despite seeing plenty of staff , service was hit and miss . 15 minutes after arrival no one had asked if we’d like a drink . Drinks (once they arrived) were pleasant . Our entrees were very good however my main course was incorrect which meant that my husband’s main course had to be returned to the kitchen to keep warm while mine was replaced . Then another long wait... View all feedback.
Efficient Slick, polite service as always. Thank you.
The food was delicious. The services were brilliant. A beautiful experience
As a vegetarian, it's great that I have a wide choice of dishes. Most restaurants are very limited, usually a risotto and or goat cheese and red onion tart! This is usually my lot, I see with envy on my partner options. The Soufflé is from this world, highly recommended!
A long weekend contract for my husband in Bristol was his selection of gifts. I was recommended to the Ivy to make his weekend break special. The booking on the line seemed easy. I was offered the choice of afternoon tea or a la carte. When selecting A la Carte I received a selection of times for the selected date. Upon arrival we received afternoon tea menus. The waitress replaced this on a different menu when I explained that tea was not what I booked. The result was disappointing. The menu we were given was for brunch, with a limited choice. While the food was fine, it was disappointing not to give my husband the contract he had anticipated. Upon departure I wondered why we got this menu when other diners were selected from the A la carte menu. She explained it was about the time of our booking, i.e. 4.00. A la carte is not available at this time. The waitress apologised and explained that it also happens when people book on the line for afternoon tea at 11:00 if it is not available. It seems that there is a glimm in the booking system that really needs addressing. The long trip from North Yorkshire to Bristol took 6 hours. A burger but nicely cooked and presents only not cut!
As always a fabulous standard and service. . We had the afternoon tea for a birthday treat. A minor personal comment/feedback would be we would have preferred slightly more savoury dishes. It was very heavy on the sweet dishes fo my taste. .
