Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant Hotel du Vin Bistro offers a dining experience that makes guests feel special, with attentive waiters lighting candles and bringing out birthday cakes for celebrations. The selection of wines is impressive, and the atmosphere is pleasant for couples. While the food is generally good, some reviewers found certain dishes to be lacking in taste. Overall, the setting is beautiful and suitable for special occasions, despite a few lapses in service and reservations. A great choice for a relaxed evening out, particularly for those looking for a cozy and charming atmosphere.
First, our booking through the open table had not gone through hotel du vin bistro, so we did not make a reservation when we arrived, the reservation made over a week in advance. to the happiness the employees were helpful and they had a table. overall the staff we enjoy and helpful, and it is a beautiful room setting. eating was at best mediocre. I was really looking forward to this meal, but unfortunately was disappointed as all our party.
The waiters were great. we had 2 birthdays and they were amazingly well maintained. small tasty cake with birthday on the teller written in chocolate and a glass bubble for them! They felt special! they fired our candles and brought out our birthday cakes. there were no Scotch eggs we saw in the other hotel de vin in clifton. my favorites! we had an unfortunate seat looking at the fire exit doors. but everything else was crushed. Thank you.
Beautiful place. excellent eating. no record of me that I made a reservation through open table, but fortunately still place. it was a special occasion, so much relieved about it.
Positive worker: big wee: the only good point, great choice of weeping. cons food: we had onglet and bygole pasta, it was not at all sophisticated and bad taste. Place: the walls are dirty with food stains. and there is hardly enough light. I would recommend a glass on the bar instead of the restaurant.
Great food, can’t work out why it’s not on more people’s radar, the Chateaubriand is amazing and good value compared to a lot of steak restaurants in Bristol. We eat out a lot and enjoy trying all the new and interesting restaurants but always come back here, consistency is hard to achieve in most places but not here. We look forward to our next visit.
