This place has been owned and operated by the same family for over thirty years. Now, that in itself says that it must be doing something right. I'd argue, they're doing many things just right!
I popped in here for a lazy Saturday brunch. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast. For under $10 ($9.90) that's got to be the cheapest full breakfast in town. I also noted the meat version of the same was only $2 more expensive... View all feedback.
Thank you very much for baking my mothers 70th birthday cake. Cake was delicious. Got alot of commentary regarding the cake and was a huge success on the night.<br/ <br/ Many thanks
The pastries here are lovely, they make the best vanilla slice I've ever eaten! They also have a wide selection of Jewish foods, which is wonderful
This place has a variety of cakes and savoury pies. I forgot what it is called but this cake was so good. It was a chocolate cake with ricotta filling. The chocolate was dense and the ricotta perfectly blended with the chocolate cake. The cake wasnt oversweetened. Would come again to try the savoury pies. Any recommendation?
The Deli is always popular for breakfast and early lunch, I personally think that they 're all about getting the right thing.<br/ <br/ What to get: <br/ Their custom made sandwiches (preferably ask for it to be toasted too, as their bread has sometimes been stale, sorry! ; all the options for filling they have are very high quality, well made and well seasoned, and you have a huge variety of especial types of condiments. Definitely try something new each time you go, if at least a different type of mustard or roast vegetable.<br/ <br/ Their desserts, most cakes, muffins and pastries are pretty good; honestly a bit expensive but they definitely help with that sweet craving.<br/ <br/ Anything from the deli itself, they have a great selection of cold meats and it 's all really good; try their chilli chicken!<br/ <br/ What 's so-so:<br/ I personally find most of their 'ready to go ' food to be very average, probably because it 's made in batches rather than individually. Things like spaghetti bolognese, ready sandwiches, lasagna, etc. They 're not bad, they 're just very average. Can 't really blame them, these are there for busy people at lunch hour.<br/ <br/ Definitely though, the staff make this place, every worker and the owner are always very friendly to customers and they most certainly seem interested in making sure that you leave happy, it is always better when you can come back to a shop and feel welcome rather than just feel like an extra customer.

But, while the price may be cheap, it wasn't cheap on quality! The meal consisted of: two pieces of toast, 2 poached eggs, 2 hash browns, fried onions, fried tomato, baby spinach and sauteed mushrooms. Honestly, it was too much food for me to eat in one sitting. I think next time around I'll just order one of everything and even that would be plenty.
