Contribute FeedbackGroove Train Chermside offers a diverse menu with mixed reviews. Some diners enjoyed their meals, such as the tasty breakfast burrito and delicious cocktails, while others were disappointed in the quality and value of their dishes. The service was friendly but a bit disorganized at times. The S&P Calamari and burgers received mixed reviews, with some finding them satisfying and others were underwhelmed. Despite the overpriced menu items and inconsistent food quality, the restaurant's atmosphere and service were generally appreciated. Overall, Groove Train Chermside may have potential with some improvements in menu selection, pricing, and organization.
So disappointed in our meals here... I ordered the "chef special" barramundi and gnocchi for a hearty price of $35. I was expecting a fulfilling meal only to be met with the smallest piece of fish I have ever seen and 8 pieces of gnocchi with their salad which consisted of just a quarter of a tomato. We were still starving after spending $90 on both meals all up. After talking with staff about how disappointing the meal was, we were told it was "portion controlled" which makes no sense considering we could have spent $5 more on other meals which looked 3x bigger. Very unhappy and will never be returning.
Did not enjoy our meals at all. Disappointed in the cous cous salad with lamb-- the whole thing was just wrong. Way too overpriced for what you get and wait time long. Burger was not good at all. Regret regret regret. Note to self: do yourself a favour and just go to Grilld instead even if there's a line. tasteslikeregret.wordpress.com
We went for Sunday breakfast. The service was polite and friendly, however the coffee didn't taste pleasant at all, and wasn't a flat white , too much froth. The eggs benedict is one to avoid, the ham was just thin slices and on muffins, and the hollandaise was really poor, it had the consistency and taste of butter, way too oily. The others who had breakfast with me had good meals, but the "Benny" I had was embarrassing.
Overpriced food that does not reflect menu descriptions well. In my case anyways. I did see some nice meals coming out so may depend on what you order....still over priced. Service and atmosphere good though and didn't have to wait for food long.
Have had dinner here once and it was good. Had breakfast here just the other day. Poached eggs, bacon and a side of mushrooms on dried out bread. Food seemed to have been pre-cooked and heated up in microwave. Coffee was great and staff were on the ball and super friendly.
