To an outside Hugo’s may not seem like a 5 star place as it not not a slick, sparkling city store. But to locals and people who like local (and supporting local), it is a gem. Hugo's is a great bar with friendly staff and they are very community oriented they treat everyone like they are welcome. They have a small store on the side with general goods and gas for sale on the side. Best place for good food and company! Highly recommend for their burgers and pizza yum!
The restaurant had a lively atmosphere! I will definitely return.
It's hard to go wrong in the middle of nowhere. We came across this restaurant while visiting the weekend market and ended up purchasing a few things. We were given samples which was a nice touch. It definitely feels like a welcoming community. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely stop by again.

It is the heart of this Lake Wobegon-like community. Grab a beer or sip your $1 cup of coffee as you sit at the bar chatting to locals, hearing about how their garden is growing, the chickens are laying, and what the Farmer’s Almanac is predicting about snow totals for the winter. Wander around the Saturday morning farmer’s market, serenaded by an accordion player, and sample fresh-baked local muffins, home made pesto, and pick up hand-sewn quilts. Savor the magic of the northwoods at its most special.
The restaurant serves delicious food and offers quick service with accommodating staff.
