As soon as the ban on nonessential use of public transport was lifted I was able to hop on the train to Hove and walk down to The Lawns Cafe. The table numbers were reduced to cater for the social distancing requirements but every available...one was taken by happy customers. £4.50p for 1/4 of a chicken breast, 3 slices gurke and a 10p bag mayonnaise pressed up. Go to the co-op!
I love this place, I'm a more common customer. during the lockdown they were open with a takeaway service, and when someone who lives on my own was a friendly chat about a cup tee a few times in the week more than just a cuppa...es...here helped me go! the staff are friendly and welcoming and are more and more very good to guess my order! (I am exhausted of habit, I admit, they make a beautiful cuppa tea and a gorgeous hot chocolate with delicious circumcisions. I admit it would be hard to get squirty cream and marshmallows wrong, but they do it very well. a sausage and egg-bap was for me a retter at many places. it is always ready, perfection and delivered with a smile. Moreover, they are very covid-safe during these most peculiar times and that is to be praised. they also make a beautiful sausage, egg and chips, which they kindly a beside order of baked beans on. it's a teller that never makes me smile. the sitting area in the free is clean, well organized, spacious and always a joy to sit. it is really a privilege to have this place in front of my doorstep. I only wish that sausages and eggs were calorie-free.
Actually, one of the best veggie breakfast sandwiches ive. service was beautiful and would highly recommend! .
10.00 and busy with cyclists and other peeps. Lovely staff , polite and friendly. We only had coffees and I had a bacon sandwich, thick tasty bacon and real butter and Heinz and hp sauce. I recommend this place, as disabled parking just up on...main road, enough for 4 cars to park. I’ve been here a few times never disappoints. Added bonus can now bring my mum here, using her disabled badge
We have been coming to this place for many years, where we have lived in brighton, almost 20 years. we have already rated it positiw as they make a good easy lunch very good, at a good price and in a great environment outdoors. far nicer... than their rivals at the spot. but I am asked to re-examine their Kovid regulations. they have taken the directives clearly seriously, perhaps surprisingly so, considering how many places do not adhere properly. clear entry and exit, trace and trace, sanitiser, well- spaced tables, masks and visuals on the personal, bring the food to their table, sanitary tables and chairs after use. Although we live near the coast, we have largely avoided it in the last few months due to the mass. so it was great to be back for a walk and enjoy a safe and comfortable lunch on the sea.
