This is a fairly new establishment on the concourse at Brighton Train Station. Nicely decorated, it does lack a little in atmosphere, but I guess that's because of the transient customer base. Have come in here for tea/coffee before and a pint today before going home considering their location, the prices are reasonable (too many places in stations up their prices because they know they can! A nice comfortable place... View all feedback.
What EnglishViv doesn't like about The Cyclist Refreshment Room:
Maybe this was a bad day at The Cyclist. But it was also the worst cup of coffee I'd had in a while. A black Americano served brown with slightly off milk on the side. Yeeuch View all feedback.
Yes, the Manager who made the best cappucino in Brighton has been promoted (not surprising) but we were well looked after to-day and had the second best coffee in Brighton, which was very good....and we bought some coffee to take home so delicious was the blend they used. This is serious coffee and the nibbles are also pretty wholesome and delicious.
What's happened it's gone from fantastic service well managed classy venue to bren managed like a back street pub .. the manager slams and bangs around in a mood whilst the pleasant staff seem miserable do saf we have all now stopped using it
After being told I had a four hour wait at the station today to get a north bound train, due to an incident on the line, I called in to the Cyclist for somewhere to wait it out. It was perfect for what I needed, a quiet place to work and have a light lunch. The service was excellent and they looked after me in an efficient and friendly way. The scrambled eggs and salmon was excellent, with nice bread and generous amounts of salmon. The free wifi was really helpful too. Thanks guys
Friendly excellent bar right on Brighton Station. Well worth a visit on a hot day or while waiting for a train to Falmer for the football.
This restaurant used to be good, but unfortunately it was forced to close because of a government that can't even make a train run on time.
