I am amazed reading the other reviews on here. I find the service great, and the chips utterly wonderful, maybe among the best in Brighton and Hove (I have tried a lot! The fish is pretty good too, but the chips are top rank- well done guys! View all feedback.
What menubuster doesn't like about Seagull:
I stopped for coffee while walking along Madeira Drive. The service was fine and the coffee was decent, but the constant squawking and swooping of seagulls really spoiled the experience. View all feedback.
Really enjoyed my cod and chips here! eat them delicious and a nice atmosphere with cheerful staff!
I ordered a sausage, egg, and bacon sandwich for £6.50, but unfortunately it was completely burnt. The bread used was a burger bun, which was disappointing. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
Wonderful little gem within the City of Brighton. Wonderful food and fresh , the whole family and I enjoyed it on our holiday there. Just worth mentioning that it's not just been there for a couple of years, the place is shown in the background of the 1971 film Carry On at your Convenience! Will definitely visit again.

I have spent many wasted hours looking for somewhere that provides a decent Sunday Lunch. I don’t ask for much. And I’m usually disappointed. Not so with The Seagull . It’s bright clean and has at tentative staff. When the meal arrived it was everything I hoped for and more. Lovely roast beef a decent portion cooked perfectly great Yorkshire pud plenty of perfectly cooked veg and last but by no means least plenty of tasty gravy. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
