What natesingh doesn't like about Oriental Village:
He lived in the area for years. State here a few years ago. He seemed to remember he was fine. Group of us came to eat everything you can eat. Honestly, the most disgusting food I've eaten in a long time. A poor, hasty service and food was honestly disgusting, sloppy. I felt quite appreciated for all of this. 100 later. . Really disappointed!I never leave comments normally. I'm sorry, but this isn't in! View all feedback.
We booked last minute for my daughters 11th birthday. Good portion sizes for children to try lots of dishes without wastage. Great food and service. Recommend.
Meal was lovely, fresh and extremely tastyThey put up a anniversary banner for us which was a lovely touch and couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
Love this restaurant. Great Asian food for good prices! We take clients for business lunches, two courses for around £6 per person! If you have time I really recommend the all you can eat meal option. I was really happy with the portion size and variety of vegetarian food they had on offer! First class service as well! Highly recommend to anyone who loves Asian food!
Went on a girls night out. The best I could say about the food was that some of it was cooked. The chicken satay was served hot but was very salty. The duck and half the pancakes were cold. The main course was edible but not much flavour. Had to ask repeatedly for drinks and was then charged for more drinks then were served. Service was appalling and the staff just kept asking if we wanted more drinks. Took 2.5 hours to be served starters, couple of pancakes and duck and a main course. No atmosphere or background music. Not worth the money!!!
Having eaten at The Oriental Village for a number of years we visited for a friend's birthday. I ordered my usual combination of salt pepper squid, sweet sour king prawn and chicken chow mien. We immediately noticed a difference in presentation. The squid included a garnish that hadn't been part of the dish before as well as freshly chopped red chilli. These additions made a real difference. This standard was repeated throughout our meal. When asked if we were enjoying our food we were then told that they now have a new chef. The food has always been nice but their new chef clearly takes pride not just in the cooking but the presentation also. All sauces are prepared to order from fresh ingredients. It really shows. A couple of minor issues with service but overall a wonderfully food experience from start to finish. We will return!
