Cafe Ninety7 - Brighton and Hove

I had a great breakfast with friends at this restaurant. The prices were very affordable for the high quality of the breakfast. The atmosphere was delightful, and the staff were friendly and chatty. The coffee was delicious and served at the perfect temperature.

We have been there many times with and without our dog. My mother has Alzheimer’s and feels comfortable there and likes the food. Today we were told we could not sit where we wanted with the dog. We were told we could only sit in the back. I tried to talk to the manager who would not let me speak and was very rude interrupting me all the time. He said ‘whatever you ask me the answer will be the same’! I did not want to ask him anything but just tell him something. I told him that we had always sat in the front booth with the dog and no one had minded. He was very arrogant and dismissive. I will never go there again. I will not be spoken to like that by anyone. Absolutely disgusted and sad for my mum. In reply to the owner!!! I did not threaten I promised I would write a bad review and I did. The manager was arrogant and rude to us. My mother has indeed been there and has enjoyed the place because she felt safe and comfortable there. I usually didn’t eat because I do not like the food there. Neither does my sister particularly. It is too oily for me and bad quality. There is also not much on the menu that I can eat. We have been there many times with the dog and have never been asked to sit in the back. Fact. Ask your staff and they will confirm this if they are honest. There was no one waiting to be served as the owner said there was. Therefore we did not hold up anyone who was waiting. Fact. I was not rude to him however he was very dismissive and disrespectful to us when I was trying to talk to him. He kept on interrupting me when I was trying to speak. What happened to the place that used to be so welcoming? It certainly is not like it used to be and I will never use it again. If you like good service and good food there are many other places to go to. I will be doing that in future.

This was our first time visiting and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent.

Popped in here this morning for some breakfast, as my washing machine had broken and I had to go to the laundrette close by. What a lovely find I had egg bacon on granary toast, it was delicious and huge. I also had a gorgeous coffee. Will definitely be returning to try something else! Thank you

Friends brought us here as they have been before. I had a full English and the food was lovely, not at all greasy, the hash brown was perfect, sausages were lovely and the coffee was excellent. Great service and really good value for money. Would definitely eat here again.
