Block was recommended by the owners of the apartment we were staying at. Absolutely loved the design of the place! Modern industrial but very welcoming and cosy and the staff were really friendly. Great menu and the food was fantastic, at a very reasonable price too! Would highly recommend. View all feedback.
What Olga Faltenberg doesn't like about Block:
I really do love Block and I always recommend it to friends. I’ve been coming there for years now for drinks and dinners, but I really wouldn’t recommend going there for “bottomless” brunch. There is no service whatsoever, as there is one member of staff serving quite a lot of people (about 15-20 customers I think). You have to go to the bar and wait quite a while for your mediocre refills (our mimosas were about 4/5... View all feedback.
That was the best Sunday Lunch I have had in Brighton. They have clearly chosen to have only a few things on the menu, but to do those few things really really well. The refurb has also made the place super cool.
Perfect Sunday lunch in the garden chilled out tunes, good vibe great service by friendly staff...would thoroughly recommend
Want to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Neighbourhood, celebrated my 21st there two weeks ago and despite the rain it couldn't have gone any better! Great food, great staff and great drinks
We held our engagement party in block on Saturday, 4th november. such a beautiful bar and the covered and heated garden was warm and comfortable on a crunchy november night! beautiful atmosphere and felt intimate for us and our guests, but much space and beautiful, not to feel restricted to a contrary. thanks to simon, who could not do enough for us. beautiful kerl very friendly and attentive. if someone is looking for a room, I recommend block. it sets the typical functional space to offer with so much more and to be a little different. many thanks to once more young people who gave us a nice night to remember.
Came by eastbourne to taste the sunday roast and it was stunning. started with croquettes and ****, both yum and a perfect set for the main show. Believe me that her Bretha oven has brought the humble Sunday roast to another level, perfect pork, woman had bark but too much meat in my eyes, but I sold up! the kartoffels are really crispy. the charred cabbage I said is straight out, the coals were fab. creme d resistance was the huge butter and sternanis carrot, perfect engraving. was all the top notch and the journey worth it. try it with a bottle of empty canvas, that I have, this wee portrayed great. I can't wait for my next visit. a very happy bauch.
