This charming and trendy restaurant has welcoming servers, large tables, and wonderfully unique dinner options. When I tried the Gnocchi dish for the first time, I was delighted to find a meatless option that was absolutely delicious! The dish featured handmade potato gnocchi, possibly fried and served in a sweet sauce. The salad was incredibly fresh and dressed with balsamic vinaigrette that was out of this world. My partner enjoyed their tomato soup with basil and cheese as well. Overall, everything we tried was incredibly tasty!
This is our favorite spot to dine! It is similar to Zingerman's in Ann Arbor and The Laundry in Fenton. The staff is friendly and accommodates all dietary restrictions. The food is delicious and the outdoor terrace menu is beautiful.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The sandwiches were delicious with crisp, toasted bread and a burst of flavors. The staff was attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place!
Best night out! sa on the terrace, enjoyed the live band, and fabulous eating. we had the queso I highly recommend, walley taco, and tostadas. the strawberry basil limonade was so wonderfully refreshing! we cut off the night with flourless chocolate cake! the bathrooms were clean and well equipped.
After we were finished with services at the new Brighton Center for Specialty Services, we sought out a late lunch at the Wooden Spoon. We were the only customers for most of the time: two tables were finishing up as we entered the dining room, and two men, eating alone, came in as we were paying our bill. I ordered the Black Bleu Salad (Grilled flat iron steak over artisan lettuce, balsamic onions, roasted peppers, gorgonzola, polenta croutons with balsamic vinaigrette) while my girl had the Asian Salmon Salad (Fire grilled salmon over baby spinach, toasted almonds, carrots, edamame, pickled ginger orange segments with sesame dressing topped with crispy rice noodles). The salads in their entirety were good sized portions. All told there was ample food and it was tasty. However, we thought the sizes of the proteins were modest. My girl thought her salmon was cooked very nicely and arrived hot. But, I thought my slices of beef, though done exactly as ordered (medium rare), were cold. Indeed, the croutons were warmer than my protein. But cold as it was, the beef was still delectable. The combination of ingredients in each salad was creative. Our server, Katie, was delightful and attentive. She kept my coffee cup filled. When my girl found the sesame dressing too spicy for her taste, Katie found her a substitute dressing. I tasted the sesame dressing with a piece of her salmon, and found that it was the perfect spicy choice for the salmon salad. But sadly too spicy for my girl. An imperfect lunch but still satisfying.
