Tacos y Salsas is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Colorado. I can't speak to its authenticity since I'm not Mexican, but I absolutely love their meat. It's always cooked perfectly! Unlike other places where I've had soggy, low-quality beef, the meat here is top-notch. Not to mention, the prices are reasonable and their Tortas are huge! I highly recommend trying their Tortas or Tacos, both of which are delicious.
I have lived in the larger area of Denver for over 16 years and I am disappointed that I have only discovered this place now. You have gigantic breakfast Burritos (seriously you only need one) and really delicious over stuffed tacos. I love that you choose from many Salsas and (usually obvious) have as much as you want. Lunch specialties are dirt cheap (the one I got was 5 al pastor tacos for $5) and they offer decent service. If I'm in the area, there's no question where I have lunch. Always leave a few dollars tip for takeout, these people work hard!
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The seating was comfortable and the Tortas they made were some of the best I've ever had. I am willing to offer my services to help them save money.
I ordered an asada gordita and a carnitas taco at the restaurant. Both were generously filled with meat. The carnitas taco was delicious, with well-seasoned and fresh-tasting meat. The asada gordita had beef that was more like barbacoa than asada. The salsa bar was fresh and well-stocked. The chips were also fresh and seasoned with salt. The service was quick and friendly. The price was reasonable considering the generous amount of meat in both the taco and gordita.
