We started with an appetizer wh... read more My sister-in-law and I went to Shift Rest. In Bright Indiana yesterday. It's a restaurant that's been open for about five years. We started with an appetizer which was a pretzel with beer cheese.I I had a cheeseburger and fries for my meal and my sister-in-law had wings. My cheeseburger was delicious. I got a chance to taste my sister-in-law's wings which were not deep fried but grilled They were very good . It was a very enjoyable lunch, and the ambiance was great.

We also got the Pretzel Beer Cheese appetizer which left a lot to be desired. I also tried the Mac Cheese which lookedappetizing but really had no flavor but was creamy. Had my husband liked the main part of his food, we'd try them again but nowI don't know if we will. Also, they were a bit over-priced, but what isn't anymore ??????? The server wasn't bad

There were plenty of tables open when we arrived but it allowed me to add a special request to be seated... read more We reserved a table through Open Table for 6pm Sunday. There were plenty of tables open when we arrived but it allowed me to add a special request to be seated along a back wall or corner. I explained in the request that I was there with a Military Vet whoprefers to not have people walking behind him so if he can be where he can see what 's happening in the restaurant he 'll be muchmore relaxed. Upon arrival I gave the hostess our name and she quickly opened the request saw that request was us and seated usin the far back corner (perfect!! Thank you! This is a thing everywhere we go and I hadn 't told him I had added that requestbut ya 'll when I tell you the relaxed exhale and awesome from this man when he realized we were in a place he didn 't have tobe watching behind him/us all night. These little things can become the big things to our Vets, and the staff at Shift wascompletely attentive and discreet about our request. Regardless of how the rest of the visit was going to go- this level of care was enough for us to know we 'd be back. Thank you for supporting our Vets ???????? Onto service food.. ! He got a couplebottled beers and I ordered the smoked Old Fashioned. My drink was STRONG and couldn 't detect the smokiness or orange but it wasgreat. The fried pickles. We 're fried pickle lovers. These are thin chips, not overly salty. The mountain of fried pickles comeswith ranch spicy ranch and would have been plenty for 4 normal people to split but the 2 of us finished them by the end of ourmeal lol. We didn 't order it but we saw other tables getting these beautiful giant soft pretzels with bier cheese... nexttime! We could order the Sunday Chicken Dinner Special which is all you can eat fried chicken, 4 sides, cheddar biscuits adessert for $19.99 each. We picked Side Salad, mac cheese, mashed potatoes green beans and they were all EXCELLENT. This wasthe best side salad we 've had at a restaurant maybe ever. Real fancy lettuce, cherry tomatoes t
