It's almost two years since I last visited 64 degrees when they were in the artist residence boutique hotel in pimlico. I remember myself and my cousin, the most dishes we had, and our beautiful and attentive waitress, chloe, which made the experience even more memorable. After much procrastination I finally made it to her original location in brighton during an impromptu day tour. this little jewel is founded by chef michael bremner and hidden in the lanes quietly. the first lunches to arrive for the day, we did not try too desperate and starving for food, as we entered, like the clock 12 midday, in contrast to the more dramatic midnight in cinderella . the place is very small with an industrial as well as indoors and an open kitchen, which takes about half the space. there was a selection of regular table seats or the more casual interactive opposites, which we crossed on a few wooden cubes on the small table through the window and pushed onto a chilled rose while we went through the menu.
Oh brighton, why didn't you tell me you changed so much? I have been avoiding this coastal town for 6 years or more, with too many bad memories at my party days. back then brighton was known to me as the henne, stag and student party central, full of almost food chains and almost nowhere to enjoy a good glass wein, artisan beer or quality bar snack. the eating and drinking scene at that time was huge yes, but quality was a hard thing to find – unless they fanned fish and chips. but this is all changed and nothing shows that more with brighton now to his own trips – brightons best. a website that specializes in finding, showing and arranging the best restaurants in the opposite – I had no idea that there were so many. with the list in the hand we took to brighton for a foodie extravaganza, starting with Brighton’s best number 1 ranged restaurant – 64 grad.
