Had dinner at Thirteen Steps, and were utterly blown away by the food. Imaginative yet not overdone, using incredibly fresh produce cooked expertly. Wine list was great too, with loads by the glass. The atmosphere was great too - cosy little place with just the right amount of buzz. Service was a bit patchy, hence 4 stars rather than 5, but we didn't mind as everything else was so fantastic. We'll be back for sure! View all feedback.
With two relatively famous restaurants in Bright now closed we wondered where to dine on a cold winter evening.Thirteen Steps sounded promising and turned out to be outstanding.Host,Roy,I think, was a bundle of regional wine knowledge and a real character. The food was fabulous and we had a great night down the Thirteen Steps.Great value too.
Eclectic place to have dinner in Bright. Charming restaurant decor reveals itself as you go down 13 steps into an old world cellar.
What can I say about this place other than fantasticGreat selection of tapas plates. Friendly staff and the manager is a good fun.
Very ordinaryHad the lamb Shoulder and it was quite oilyIf it wasn't for the accompanying coleslaw I would not be able to eat it.
Absolutely loved dining at Thirteen Steps. A variety of dishes to choose from. Delicious food! An extensive wine selection. Fantastic that local wines were promoted. The venue has great lighting and music. Staff friendly and inviting. We found that the wooden chairs were uncomfortable; maybe some cushions needed. When in Bright, this is a must dine restaurant!
