Best butter chicken I have ever eaten. Nowhere else can satisfy me now as I always compare it to Curry Express and seem to end up disappointed it doesn't taste as good. My favourite menu item is the Dinner for One which has butter chicken, rice, naan bread and samosas. It is perfect to fill my Indian food craving. The staff and owners of this restaurant are great. They always ensure you are satisfied with your meal. It is always fresh and made to order so you receive it piping hot. We are so lucky to have this in Bridgewater.
We were visiting from Toronto so we know how Indian food is but, This was terrible. Chicken was very dry , curry with too much spices and Best Part SPINACH PAKORA HAS NO SPINACH IN IT !!!!!!! its LATUS in it !!!!! and chicken biriyani was like just Basmati rice with some little spices in it. I think taking advantage of No east Indian restaurants arround here
Living in a multicultural city like Toronto affords plenty of opportunity to sample a wide range of ethnic cuisines. In fact , one of the city's best Indian restaurants is right in our neighbourhood and we visit weekly. We weren't expecting much when we pulled into Curry Express but it was late , we were starving and just wanted some takeout to bring back to the hotel. WOW !! Were we ever surprised. Great chicken curry, rice pilaf - a meal for two for around $30.00. Don't be fooled by the modest exterior and the simple table settings - this place knows what they're doing in the kitchen and that's where it counts.
The food at Curry Express was beautifully presented, with colorful fresh vegetables and delicious basmati rice. Unlike other restaurants on the south shore that close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Curry Express was open for dinner on a Wednesday. We enjoyed dishes like potatoes with spinach, basmati rice with vegetables, roti, and mixed vegetables in sauce. The portions were generous and the flavors were rich. The service was friendly. Just keep in mind that the outdoor seating is located a few meters away from route 325, so there may be some traffic noise. This review has been updated from a previous review on July 12, 2023.
During our short holiday in Liverpool, we discovered Curry Express by Tripa, which is only a 30-minute drive from our hotel. For our first meal, we enjoyed sharing Dal Palak and Chicken Tikka Masala, accompanied by Mango Cheesecake. The Dal Palak was especially delicious, with lentils cooked with spinach. We were thankful for ordering the mild Tikka Masala, as it provided just the right amount of spice to cleanse our palates. On another day, we ordered the Dinner Special which included butter chicken, vegetable curry, pulao rice, naan bread, and two pakoras. The meal was outstanding and the pakoras were not greasy. Be sure to check their website for their opening days and hours. We had no issues with ordering and the Mango Cheesecake was a delightful way to end our meal.
