The dinner was excellent and the service was exceptional.
Good service is priceless, and this restaurant definitely excels in that area. However, the food was disappointing during my recent visit. I ordered the veal chop parmigiana and, considering the price, I expected something great. Unfortunately, it was mediocre at best - soggy and flavorless. I frequently dine at Guerriero in Morristown and always order the veal chop when it's on the menu. There is no comparison between the two restaurants. At Guerriero, I always receive a great dish. Cafe Emilia should take notes from Guerriero's recipe book when it comes to this particular dish.
The place never disappoints. Warm and attentive service, cozy, ambience, and a deliciously executed menu of Italian dishes. The wine list is excellent. My go to for Italian.
This is a gem of a place. The food was wonderful and well priced. Everything was fresh and there is no passing up the dessert cart! It does get very loud, so be prepared, but that is largely due to the family atmosphere
