The food was really good, especially for the price. The parts were big. We have to sit our own, which was really easy. The staff welcomed us quickly. The tools were so good! I definitely come back. View all feedback.
What Abigail M doesn't like about Jimmy's Grill :
Well, apparently because of health department violations it was ordered closed until further notice. Likely won't return if they don't get a new kitchen staff that knows how to handle food. ... View all feedback.
I don't know where to start...let's start at the beginning. The hypnotic smells of fresh bread were the first sign that th
The food was amazing! My husband and I stopped in on our way home from oc this last weekend and were pleasantly suprised at how the reviews were accurate! The server was very friendly but the food was great! When you think of comfort food this is it! The portions were good and everything was fresh and home made. The mac and cheese was out of this world and the Lima beans were almost better than my grandma's!! Save room for dessert andmake sure to get a pie to go you won't regret it!
First time ever visiting Jimmy 's. The yeast rolls ..Delicious. Warm . Just right with butter melting on roll. Mashed potato 's with gravy on side. homemade. perfect. smooth. Simple and delicious. My three layer pretzel salad just the right mix of sweet and salty. The rib eye was superb. Cooked a perfect medium. My friend wanted to try chicken and dumplings , not being a fan , of this dish I advised him against this, however, he wanted to try something new. He felt the chicken in the dumplings was good, almost non existent, but overall good flavor of the chicken. Now the dumplings were flavorless sinkers of dough. After I tasted the , chicken and dumplings it reminded me of a thick wallpaper paste and this was not comfort food in my opinion. His macaroni and cheese was delicious and homemade. I would definitely come back but never for the chicken and dumplings. LOL
The restaurant was full, but not overcrowded when my date and I arrived, and we were seated quickly. The menu had a wide variety, but the prices seemed a bit high on the face of the menu. I ordered the veal with gravy, my date had the chicken pot pie. When the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. The veal chops were huge, and breaded to perfection. The pot pie was equally immense, taking up the whole plate. The warm bread was perfect, giving off a mouth watering odor. The food quality was also excellent, and every bite was full of flavor. The service was quick, without making me feel rushed. I cannot wait to go back to try the desserts. The value was excellent, given the quality and portion sizes. Update- Local news reports this location closed by order of the health department. Yikes.
