Subway - Bridgeton
Subway
Description
Nestled within a Walmart, the Subway/Auntie Anne's offers a mixed bag for diners. Patrons appreciate the affordability and taste of the sandwiches, especially the Italian sub, which is celebrated for its fresh toppings and reasonable price. However, customer service leaves room for improvement. Common complaints include a lack of complimentary cups for water and inconsistent portion sizes, with some feeling shortchanged on ingredients. While the atmosphere is clean and the staff generally efficient, some interactions have been marred by language barriers and limited engagement. Overall, it's a convenient stop, but expectations may need to be tempered.

I absolutely love Subway's Italian sandwiches. I always order mine with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers, and the price is very reasonable. My favorite location to go to is the Subway inside of Walmart in Bridgeton, New Jersey at 1130 Harding Highway. Last time I went, I brought two friends with me. One friend ordered a Black Forest ham sandwich, while the other wanted a 6-inch roasted chicken sandwich. We also got some potato chips and chocolate chip cookies. Each sandwich was only $4.99, and our total bill came to $21.54 with a discount we found online. The food was delicious and the prices were great.
It is quite frustrating that they do not offer complimentary cups for Walmart customers. I have frequented the Subway/Auntie Anne's in my local Walmart and have spent a fair amount of money there. One day, even though I did not purchase any food, I asked for a cup to share with my two of three children who were thirsty at the start of our shopping trip. I was taken aback when the Subway staff wanted to charge me for a cup to get water. It should be a common courtesy! They get their cups cheaply, so how dare they charge full price for a drink of water!

I had a disappointing experience at Subway when I spent $16 on a sandwich, drink, and chips. I ordered a cheese hoagie, but it only had one thin slice of cheese that looked like it had been cut in half to make it seem like more. When I asked for water, I was told to bring my own cup. I will not be purchasing food from Subway again.
