Oliverio's - Bridgeport
Oliverio's
Description
Oliverio's has garnered attention for its Italian and Italian-American cuisine, with a welcoming atmosphere that transports diners to Italy. Many patrons praise the extensive menu, delicious food, and attentive service, particularly highlighting the thoughtful waitstaff. However, recent experiences reveal a stark contrast, with complaints about reservation mishaps, long waits, and inconsistent food quality, especially with takeout. While some diners enjoy special occasions here, others express disappointment in the reliability of service and meal preparation. Ultimately, Oliverio's remains a beloved local choice, though recent visits suggest a need for improved consistency and customer care.

We made prior reservations and requested no booth seating due to my discomfort in a booth. Upon arrival, they try to set us in a booth. I immediately requested a table to which we were led to a two top table, which is small, and not comfortable for me as well. They then put us at a larger table and we had an extended wait to be served. Food was somewhat overcooked , not the servers' fault. Those are the reasons for my ratings
Stopped at the start of New Year's eve. We were lucky to get in quickly as it was busy. We had the wedding soup which was excellent, a house salad (more substantial and varied than most) and each had a different special. Husband had the parmesan crusted halibut and I had the blackened mahi mahi. Both entrees and their accompaniments were excellent. We had a (very reasonably priced) bottle of Earthquake cabernet to accompany everything. Best part was the service. All servers were excellent but Gracie who served our table tonight was particularly outstanding. We would come again and ask to sit at one of her tables.
Mariah was an awesome waitress last night. The food was amazing and value vs food was excellent. If we can get in tonight we’ll be back again.
