Don’t blink as you pass through Bridgeport, because you’ll miss this great little place! Growler’s Eatery (attached to Big Meadow Brewery is fabulous! We initially stopped in for a beer while staying the night in Bridgeport, but quickly reaped by watching the food come out of growlers that we needed to stay for dinner too! What Chris Earle doesn't like about Growlers Eatery:
Ordered the tritip bbq mostly because it was about the only thing they weren’t out of, and a beef taco. This cost $35 and got us a styrofoam box with a plastic fork. The food was tolerable but I’d have done about as well to get a can of stew at the gas station and nuke it at the motel. Wouldn’t eat here again. Nice people, though. Delicious BBQ and crispy tater tots served with a friendly smile make this place a fantastic addition to Bridgeport's burger scene. The combination of this restaurant with Big Meadow Brewing is simply ideal. It's definitely worth a visit. (On a side note: I love dogs, including my own, but I also deeply respect the right of business owners to safeguard their clients and their establishments. It's unfortunate that some individuals try to undermine the hard work of small business owners without truly understanding the effort they put in.)
Absolutely fantastic! We had the pretzel with beer cheese and burgers, and let me tell you, the burger was one of the best I’ve ever tasted—and that’s really saying something. The staff welcomed us warmly and provided excellent service. Though we were only in town for a short visit, we plan to stop by every time we come back to enjoy one of those burgers!

I ordered the tri-tip BBQ, mainly because it was one of the few dishes still available, along with a beef taco. The total came to $35, but all we got was a styrofoam container and a plastic fork. The food was just average; honestly, I could have bought a can of stew from a gas station and heated it in my motel room, and it would have tasted just as good. I don’t plan on returning to this restaurant, although the staff were very friendly.
