What Hannah Dörfelt doesn't like about Village Fish:
My food arrived 1hr and 10mins after my order which left me with stale chips and a burnt dry chicken. Worst experience with this fish shop because normally it is absolutely lovely. Shame really they should have just cancelled the order their end if their food wasn’t up to scratch for what ever reasons View all feedback.
I ordered food at 11:30am and it was delivered at 12:00pm. The chips, curry sauce, and rissoles were all lovely, hot, and freshly cooked. I will definitely order from here again.
I had the worst experience with the battered fish and battered sausage at this restaurant. The taste was strange, the batter was inedible as it was easy to tear and not crispy at all. The fish was watery, causing the batter to disintegrate at the bottom, leaving a terrible aftertaste. The sausage seemed to be pre-cooked before being refried with batter, resulting in an overcooked, dark and hard texture. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
The chips were over cooked and extremely greasy, chicken was packed in with chips too
I had a wonderful meal consisting of a delicious piece of fish with crispy chips. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Ordered with an hour and a half's notice but still came half hour late. When the food did arrive it was great, but poor time management.
