What Richard Ford doesn't like about The Cherry Laurel:
The general appearance was dirty and uncared for We had gone specifically to eat food off the main menu but were told that the voucher which Marsdens had sent us was not valid on Bank Holidays this was buried in the small print it seems Very unlikely we will return View all feedback.
This restaurant is terrible. I don't know how they managed to cook an egg with a solid yolk and raw white. The spicy ultimate burger had no flavor and just tasted like burnt beef, with no spice at all. The mixed grill had raw sausages, overcooked steak, burnt gammon, and dry chicken. We paid £50 for 2 portions of chips. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
We waited for 55 minutes for our food. When I inquired about the delay, I was informed that there was a 30 to 45 minute wait, which was not communicated to us when we placed our order. When our food finally arrived, it was carelessly placed in front of us without any apology for the delay or explanation. Additionally, our food was cold, had missing items, and was poorly prepared. Unfortunately, we will not be dining here again.
Thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit with my family. Food was excellent and the service was first class. Thank you.
I took my daughter to this restaurant for her birthday. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. The steaks were perfectly cooked.
Fantastic was stunning night and amazing food. Buffalo cauliflower wings yummy!!
