This impression extend... read more Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the front desk staff. The gentleman we encountered was short with us and came across as rude. This impression extended to my 12-year-old son, who returned frustrated after receiving no help. When we inquired about checkout time, he said "noonish." My son clarified by asking if that meant 12 PM, to which the staff member simply repeated "yeah, noonish." The next morning, we received a call around 11:45 AM asking why we hadn’t checked out yet. Additionally, the bathroom door was broken, sliding open unexpectedly, which made it impossible to shower or use the restroom in privacy. The beds were the most uncomfortable we encountered during our travels, despite this being the only luxury hotel we stayed in; the others were more like Holiday Inns. We were looking forward to the pool, but the waterfall feature was never turned on, and the indoor hot tub was out of order. Overall, our stay was disappointing. **Rooms:** The rooms were spacious and well laid out, but unfortunately, the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom didn’t lock, and the cabinet handles kept coming off when we tried to use it for the refrigerator. **Nearby Activities:** There are beautiful trails nearby for hiking and exploration. **Walkability:** While there are other hotels and a convenience store close by, this resort felt somewhat isolated.

We contacted the front desk immediately upon arriving at our room to inquire about paying for an upgrade to a room with a tub, but our request was quickly dismissed. We were informed they were fully booked for the weekend, yet I noticed that I could still book multiple rooms online. The pool was charming but unfortunately had dead flies floating on the surface and a bandaid at the bottom. The location is great and quiet, and we appreciated the fireplace in our room, as well as the excellent shower! We would consider staying again, keeping in mind that customer service does not seem to be a priority. As for walkability, you can walk to the Apple Annie convenience store, but that's about it. A car is necessary for getting around.

The rates are quite inconsistent; for example, someone on TripAdvisor paid $105 for a suite last month, whereas we were charged $130 for a basic room (lacking a... read more The rates are quite inconsistent; for example, someone on TripAdvisor paid $105 for a suite last month, whereas we were charged $130 for a basic room (lacking a fireplace or seating area) located right across from the hotel laundry room. One of the biggest drawbacks was the construction of the building, which is wooden. When our upstairs neighbors returned late at night, we could hear them quite clearly as they moved around for an hour, which completely drowned out the television in our room. We ended up having to use earplugs just to fall asleep. On the plus side, the service was excellent. However, there was no breakfast offered and no additional amenities. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were nice. There is EV charging available at the back, though not enough to accommodate all the electric vehicles that were present. Overall, it was just okay, but definitely not worth the price we paid. As for walkability, there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel. The surrounding area consists of large second homes, many of which are still under construction, and there are no sidewalks.

The warm jacuzzi was nice to soak in after a day on the mountain. I just wish the main pool was heated too. And the motion sensor light in the bathroom kept on going off when taking a shower and there was no way to override it!
