The Bad Rabbit is fairly basic as a cafe, but being in the middle of nowhere, even in its simplicity, it is truly a great place. The burgers are good, the beer is cold and they hand batter their chicken fried steaks. The people who work there are friendly and the place is clean and tidy. Ate here twice and both times the food/service was fantastic!
This is exactly why you come to the deep Big Bend. Stay at the lodge, eat at the Bad Rabbit. Laundry, wifi, hiking, wildlife and some nice folks.
The food was ok. Only ate dinner there once. The atmosphere was good. A wide variety of people .

Sometimes, they have live music or other events, so consider the drive but be sure to top off your tank before you head out.
Great place way out in the middle of nowhere, great lunch menu, can't wait to try the breakfast menu. Great
