I have been staying diesel several times this year and the experience gets worse: unfriendly people at the reception(I don’t know what to do to get a smile on y... read more I have been staying diesel several times this year and the experience gets worse: unfriendly people at the reception(I don’t know what to do to get a smile on your face, they should probably consider another job), The rooms are furnished pretty well but can get very expensive: €200 breakfast included for such an experience is a waste of money. I usually arrive very late at the hotel and every time they put me in a room close to the elevator Which is very noisy. Don’t take room 355. It is the room at the back of the elevators and you hear the elevator going up and down during the whole night. When I pulled at the reception, didn’t even propose another room that just set up. “I hope you still had a good night”! For my future stays, I will avoid this hotel as there are other Van der Valls in the neighborhood with a better service

To access your room, you need to walk 300meters of corridors and find out by yourself that how to press the right lift button. To reply your comment: Funny enough, I agree with your logic which is common sense. However you don’t know that the card reader is only for house keeper, and hotel guests can’t use that. And the second column buttons are also only for house keepers

Meat, fries, potatoes are fine, salad is fine, just some dressing could be added. Desserts are ok, but most of them are not to my taste. All in all more than sufficient Service: 5 Location: 3

Enjoyed the stay in one of the suites. For dinner I suggest starter as Ribeye. They give complimentary drinks which was nice. Also breakfast had great options but it would be nice if there is mark of halal options. Service: 5

Hotel contai... read more Stayed 4 nights with my family in 3 bed room for vacation. Room was comfortable and nice, service great and employees very polite and forth coming. Hotel contains everything needed for multiple purposes: conference and meeting rooms (together with a very well stocked break room). Everything is children friendly but without being too much. Breakfast buffet is very good with a nice variety of of food, bread and drinks. Hotel Restaurant for à la carte dinner can also be recommended! The hotel is very comfortably placed a stone throw from the train station that gives direct access to Amsterdam and Rotterdam. An excellent alternative to staying in the overpriced hotels downtown Amsterdam.
