Nous étions de passage dans la région et nous ne savions pas vraiment où manger. Nous sommes tombé au hasard sur ce petit restaurant. Nous avons été très bien accueilli malgré notre arrivée tardive (22h). What User doesn't like about Les Saveurs:
I normally try and find something positive to say in any TA review but I can't think of anything about this restaurant to merit it. There was no menu available and the waitress/owner? just said that there were 2 set meals--it was quite difficult to understand her even though my wife speaks perfect French. Not sure what happened, whether we went on an off day, or whether things have been difficult during Covid, but really very disappointed with our visit last week. Especially as we liked the specials last time based on South America, where the owner is from. Starter of foie gras was plentiful (2 slices) though expensive (16 euros), but 23 euros for 5 prawns was very mean (for a main course), although flavour was great the only Brazilian dish on the menu. And the steak while generous was raw and the accompaniments a bit lacklustre. Restaurant was empty for the whole of our visit (probably about 50 covers), and I mean empty even when we left after 2 hours. It was mid September admittedly, but every other restaurant had at least half occupancy so I think this restaurant has not managed to ride the storm as successfully as others. I hope I am wrong and this was a bad day!! But sadly we will not be going again. Other restaurants nearby were sooo good (eg in nearby town of Martel)
Fabulous mussels, tasted of the sea. Very good pork with prunes. Very good value. We went on our last day which is a shame as I would happily have eaten there again
Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, excellent food starters main courses and puds), good menu choice. Highly recommend the Carne Acebolada the proprietor ess is from south America and would not give me the recipe!! delicious. Best resto for a good 40/50 mile radius and we tried a few)
