What SpiderJ dislikes about Sunnegg:
The restaurant is a good imitation of a classic “malga” mountain hut. Waiters are professional and some of them wear typical clothes. Time to deliver the orders is very long, this is my impression observing also the other tables. On the food I’m not able to say nothing because the dish I ordered never arrived, so in the end I decided to take a simple mix of sliced meats, and however my bill was no cheap. View all feedback.

We visited him for a couple dinner. Delicious and fantastic. Perfect service. Unforgettable pumpkin and chestnut food. Really recommended!

Restaurant (and hotel) located on a mountainside. Local cuisine very well done. Located in a traditional setting of historic buildings, yet providing ample parking space.

Good local food , excellent wine but rather expensive ; nice interior settings and outside terrasse. Waitresses could be a bit more charming with foreigners.

We had been to our Granddaughters Confirmation, and this venue had been booked for the follow up lunch. Bit of a trek to get to it, some of the roads a little narrow, but when you got there the views were impressive. Starter was an anti pasti plate, the only thing I did not try was the prawn cocktail as I am not a great lover of prawns. Then rest was very good. Second course was Gnocchi with (or without) octopus, and fresh tomatoes. Fresh, filing and moreish. Main course was roast ok with spätzle, veg and sauce. The meat was cut into nice thick slices, and although tender, was a little dry. Thinner slices may have helped. Apart from that, everything else on the plate was superb. Dessert was a mixture of 3 different types of gelato. Nothing more needs to be said. As it was a function, it was a set menu, and I do not know the cost, all I can say is, the food, service and drinks were all excellent. Only minor minus point was that we were in a back room, which had no windows so quite warm, and it was a little darsk
