Description

Hutton Junction presents a mixed dining experience that leaves diners with varying impressions. While some patrons commend its friendly atmosphere, clean environment, and excellent service, others express disappointment with the food quality, describing it as overcooked or lacking flavor. The pub's menu appears limited, and inconsistencies in portion sizes, particularly for Sunday roasts, have led to dissatisfaction. Though some reviews celebrate delightful dishes and generous servings, others warn of overpriced meals and poor execution. Overall, Hutton Junction offers moments of charm and comfort, yet guests are urged to temper their expectations regarding food quality and consistency.

Went for a couple of pints at lunch time, and had a lovely time. Delightful bartender, who was friendly, helpful and efficient. Good selection of real ales and craft. Comfortable and clean environment with a nice atmosphere, when we went. We're not local, but hope to go back for a curry one evening, as the menu looked great.

This was our 5th visit to The Hutton Junction. We’ve had some lovely Sunday roasts here so thought we would invite friends to join us. We ordered 4 roast beef, 1 childs chicken and 1 Roast lamb. The beef was very chewy and some bits un edible. My lamb was very hard and over cooked. It was meant to be a shoulder of lamb, it was not! When the waitress came over with our veg (very little of it) I asked if I may change my lamb to a chicken dinner as it was so hard. She was very nice and changed it for me. When she came with my new dinner I then had no veg. She quickly got my fresh veg. All of our Yorkshire puddings were burnt and didn’t actually taste of anything. When our bill arrived they had left the lamb on the bill at £14.95! Again when the waitress came over I told her and she had this taken off for us. We was so disappointed as we’ve had some really lovely home cooked Sunday dinners in here and had raved about it to our friends! I even asked the young lad who was also waiting if the chef has changed in here from a few weeks ago? He said no it’s the same chef/cook. Well all we can say is we won’t be returning. It would be a gamble now as to whether we would get a good or very bad dinner. Not worth the risk. Such a shame as it’s nice and local for us and I’ve been telling all my fiends how good it is. I won’t be doing that anymore.
