What ZolatheGreek doesn't like about Gana:
The good: food was spicy, tasted good and was piping hot. Very cheap £30 for two with beer. Busy, buzzing atmosphere. The bad: cafe was full and food took some time to arrive. Two of our dishes were being delivered to the wrong table when the waiter realised, took them back to the kitchen and brought them out to us two minutes later. I watched him in the mirror! Our sides dishes arrived half way through us finishing... View all feedback.
The food was decent, but I was not pleased with the service we received. The noise coming from the kitchen was excessive, with staff literally shouting. Additionally, there were concerns about the cleanliness of the dishes being served.
I dined at this restaurant with a friend, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and felt more like a dinner party where guests have the opportunity to cook. The selection of wine and non-alcoholic beverages added to the cozy ambiance among everyone. The evening included couples, friends, a father and daughter duo, and even individuals dining alone, so there's no need to worry about coming solo or with friends or family. We were given hands-on experience right away, with ingredients not pre-measured, which I found to be the best way to learn how to cook. The two instructors were always present, providing immediate feedback and corrections when needed.
"Impressive! If you're in the mood for some incredibly tasty and flavorful Sri Lankan cuisine, this hidden gem in Wembley is the place to go. As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the enticing scents and tastes that make you feel like you're in Sri Lanka. The dishes here are exceptional, filled with true flavors and just the perfect amount of spice for those who love heat. Additionally, the central location makes it a convenient choice for both locals and tourists. Make sure not to overlook this culinary experience - it comes highly recommended!"
This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for the past 12 years. The staff, particularly the chef Prem, is always amazing. I highly recommend trying the chicken curry on the bone and parathas here. If you enjoy spicy dishes, this is the perfect place for you. The service is honest and friendly.
During my last visit, I found the Sri Lankan meals at this restaurant to be absolutely worth it, delicious, and the service was perfect. It filled my day and I had a great experience overall.
