Tabu Tacos And Burgers - Brenham

For myself, I tried the spicy chicken taco and the mac and cheese BBQ taco (I can't recall the exact name, but that's what it contained). Both tacos had great flavor, but they were quite small. I'm accustomed to heartier tacos, especially for that $4 price range. My kids shared chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and fries. The mac and cheese was definitely the highlight; I enjoyed a bite of it. However, the chicken tenders seemed like they were previously frozen, resembling something I could easily prepare at home for a couple of dollars. The fries also tasted like they were frozen, lacking flavor and tenderness. The most frustrating part of the experience was the nearly 45-minute wait for our food after ordering. My kids were asking about the food, which is a sure sign that hunger was setting in and the wait felt excessive. I understand they're a popular local spot, but 45 minutes is too long and a deal breaker for me. I have to take away some stars just for that reason. Our waitress was friendly, and I tipped her well, but I don’t think we’ll be returning. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially given how popular the place is.

As for parking, it’s not too bad. It’s a small town, so just take your time finding a spot. There’s also an ice cream shop nearby if you’re in the mood for something sweet!

Waitress was nice but very inattentive and. Had empty water glasses till I was done with the meal and she was never around to ask for refills. I would've also liked a larger portion of fries. The fries were some of the best I've had in a long time and it was a shame there wasn't enough. Other than that everything was delicious.

Very good food! Cant ever decide to get a burger or taco because there both so good here. My favorites are the Cowboy Burger, Spicy BBQ Burger, and the Texas brisket tacos (I think they quit carrying the Texas tacos but all there others tacos are really good too).

Super delicious food! We ordered the carne Asada fries, carne asada tacos, and burgers. So juicy and flavorful! Definitely coming here again. It was super busy when we got there but it was worth the wait. Our server was so friendly!
