His side... read more I had the pork carnitas tacos, YUM! I also got a side of potato salad (which had bacon oh my Yummy) Hubby had 3 meat plate w/ ribs, turkey and brisket. His side were coleslaw and collards. He said the collard greens were real good. But the best thingabout the plate was his brisket.

The pinto beans were delicious, and the mac and cheese was exceptional. The portions were generous, leaving us fully satisfied. The owners and staff worked together seamlessly, ensuring that the line moved quickly. We had a wonderful lunch, and we will definitely be returning!

Although I'm not usually a fan of mac and cheese, their brisket mac and cheese is something I could enjoy every day! Everything here is amazing, but I can't stop thinking about the brisket! Be sure to arrive early, as they sell out fast! Every item on the menu is outstanding, and Matt and his team really make the experience special. It's definitely worth the trip to Brenham! The brisket had an amazing... read more I’m a huge fan of brisket seasoned with coarse salt and pepper, and I chose the moist cut at LJs. It truly surpassed my expectations! The brisket had an amazing bark and was incredibly tender and juicy. The owner at the counter suggested the collard greens and mac and cheese as sides, and I’m very glad I followed that advice; both were delicious. If you’re in or near Brenham, be sure to visit LJs for outstanding local BBQ. I highly recommend it!
