There were three of us at Alex on Tuesday evening. We got a table without a reservation. The tables were very close together because the upstairs area was close... read more There were three of us at Alex on Tuesday evening. We got a table without a reservation. The tables were very close together because the upstairs area was closed. Apparently, there weren't enough staff (which is a problem everywhere these days). Therefore, our order wasn't taken until we asked (others who arrived later were served first). However, the drinks and food arrived very quickly. Everything was delicious, and the service was very friendly. All in all, everything was fine.

The restaurant is very centrally located and looks stylish. Unfortunately, the tables are much too close together, making for a noisy atmosphere. I had the blueberry lemonade, which was very tasty, and the veggie tarte flambée, which unfortunately wasn't so good. The tomato sauce tasted like salsa dip; that was the only flavor you could taste. My girlfriend had the baked potato, which was definitely undercooked and extremely dry.
