Rheinpromenade - Breisach am Rhein

We were there twice and both of them were disappointed. everything tasted like from a boxed pity because the location as well as the service is good.

The view over the Rhine on a sunny evening was excellent. my wife ordered the classic carving with pommes' and I ordered the bauchspeck'. both were good, but not unforgettable. on the other hand the service was very good.

Beautiful terrace on the Rhine to eat, coffee, cake and ice. we were almost 2 hours walked at the river and were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant with a terrace at the end of our walk. it was a...warmer, sunny day, perfect for a light lunch in the open. we all had pumpkin soup with cream that was delicious had a curry aroma. it is a great place for a break after a long walk or recommended for a relaxed hour at the rhein definitiw!

I was just there for coffee and cake, so can't say much about eating. restaurant has a very nice terrace with Rhine view, so it is a goof place for coffee or ice in summer to stop.

We were yesterday there. It was so sunny as we arrived there that we searched for a table which was in the shadow just to drink something and eat an ice cream. Unfortunately we didn't have a choice but to take a seat to a...table which was not in he shadow-following the waitresses suggestion- but it was ok As soon as the second waitress arrived to receive our order, we were told that the table was reserved, although there was not any sign on it. The best of all was thatthesame waitress had nerd to tell us that 45 minutes is enough for an ice cream and a beer. I. Was shocked first but I tried not to let this incident destroy our evening. I ordered an ice cream with no whip cream. What did I get??? Ice cream with whip cream which the half of it was cleaned but the rest stayed on the bottom of the glass. When I said the same girl that there was whip cream in my ice cream she asked me where like she was blind and couldn't see that the whip cream was already on surface because the ice cream started melting. I got finally a new one without and after 45 minutes exactly she came there and told us that the time pasted and that we should leave although there was enough empty tables to put her reserved sign. As we were leaving, surprised if course, she told us Auf Wiedersehen. Jetzt antworte ich und sage.. nie wieder und auf keinen Fall.
